Madhuvana brings to you another unique experience in Herbal Garden where cultivation of different herbal plants with medicinal values is grown in one place.
Madhuvana reinvents the ancient herbal art of "Aroma Therapy" that can enhance health in many ways. Aroma therapy is a stress reliever, mood elevator and succeeds in treating many human disorders. Our herbal garden has more than 320 species of herbal plants. Some of the herbs like Lemon Balm, Rose Mary are known to enhance "Brain Function" and even ward off "Alzheimer's Disease".
Madhuvana takes pride in introducing Shankaravanam (Medicinal Tree Garden) with over 250 species of Medicinal trees and are unique in their characteristics. The close spacing technique adopted by Madhuvana is supposed to ensure the growth is 10 times faster and 30 times denser.
Both Herbal Garden and Shankaravanam in Madhuvana are unique and whoever visits can enjoy beauty of these gardens and get one with Mother Nature. The garden will serve as "Live Museum" for students, researchers, senior citizens, nature lovers and the general public.
A Labyrinth is an energy healing tool in a circular pattern on the ground with an intricate path way from the point of entrance to the center.
It is an ancient symbol that relates to wholeness. It combines the imagery of the circle and the spiral into a twisting but purposeful path. The Labyrinth represents a journey to our own center and back again out into the world.
The labyrinth has also been interpreted as representing your whole life: the center representing your mother's womb where you re-enter and come back transformed.
Walking the Labyrith has been used as means of stress reduction, has led to diverse healings from arthritis to cancer.
After ringing the bell first stand at the entrance in a meditative mood as if you are ready to enter into a sacred space. Walk barefoot with hands outstretched and palms upward to receive healing energies as you walk the pathway to the center and back. You may sit for a few minutes of meditation at the center before you start your return journey.
